Hanging Balloons for A Party

This is how I usually hang balloons for birthday parties
or simple family celebrations at home.
So, this is my simple way of hanging balloons for party decorations.

You can try this method too!
Super easy to hang and take off whenever kids ask for one.

YOU MAY NEED:
--small-size ribbon/s
--paper clips
--balloons

How to do it?

(1) Use a required length of ribbon as a rope anywhere you like, to hang the balloons.
As for me, I often choose to tie this ribbon to the window bars (jeriji tingkap).
Make sure to tie both ends firmly with two to three knots.

(2) Blow a balloon and tie its knot/mouth firmly.

(3) Stretch or extend or open a paper clip outward....just a bit.

(4) Attach the altered paper clip to the balloon knot/mouth.

(5) Then, you can hang it to the ribbon.
Repeat the same step until you reach your desired target number of balloons.

(6) Attach more balloons to the ribbon.
Well, you can attach more than one balloon to each paper clip if you want!

**These pictures were taken before my niece's birthday party at her play area
at the very end of the house near back door.
So I prepared this one day earlier without disturbing the other sections of the house.

(7) Finally, this is how it might look!
You can do better if you have more balloons!

So later, whenever any kids ask for the balloons,
you can simply grab them and easily take them off from the ribbon.

Enjoy your party!

Happy trying!!

DIY Sampul Duit Raya

This is my DIY Money Envelopes project with my 5-year-old niece. I spent one whole day during last Ramadhan with my niece, designing the envelopes according to her preference. She drew the boy and girl cartoons herself. I must say these envelopes are lack of many elements of professionalism….lol.

They are full of honesty and authenticity. Bravo! Thanks to her, I will be using these envelopes this upcoming Eid season, while stock lasts.

She drew the cartoons and I cut them.
Then she coloured both boy and girl cartoons using highlighter pens.

I scanned the cartoons into many copies
and cut one by one, before pasting each cartoon on every store-bought envelope.

We made Eid greeting cards too! Please see here.

Bye now! This has been so much fun. I hope to do this again next year with her. We’ll see how she improves in her drawing and colouring.

DIY Kad Raya

This is my DIY Eid Greeting Cards project with my 5-year-old niece. I spent one whole day with my niece, designing and printing these Eid greeting cards according to her preference. She drew the boy and girl cartoons herself. She even wrote the wordings herself, with my guidance of course. She cannot read yet…but know the alphabets, lol.

All her drawing and writing were cut and scanned. Then I pasted on a plain paper for arrangement and re-scanned. When I got a desired design, I printed it out on a thick plain A4 paper and cut the leftover edge. Done!

I must say the cards turned out good, for beginners like us…of course. They are full of honesty and authenticity. Excellent! We made only four cards. One for her, one for me, and two more were posted to my cousins (10 and 13 years old), who happen to be her mak sepupu and ayah sepupu.

Bye now and Eid Mubarak everyone! This has been so much fun. I hope to do this again next year with her. We’ll see how she improves in her drawing and writing.

Hantaran for a friend's engagement

Ninie's back with flowers!! + tutorial

Thanks for those who are aware that I didn't visit the blogland for quite some time. Yes, I've told you that I had engaged some work somewhere over the rainbow...hehe. Missing you so much, here I am. I am sorry that I can't quickly make your doodles...however, I am trying to do it little by little. Be patient, okay?? hihiks...

A few crafters have asked me many many times about my latest crafts.... Of course, I continuously create something new to ease my hectic and tiring life. For now, let's just enjoy the making of roses bouquet I made 2 weeks ago for my friend.

The making of felt roses bouquet:

1) You need a hair-net, then fill it with pillow fiber.

2) Stab 4 disposal forks into the fiber. Bind the forks together using a rubber band.

3) Do some stitching, so that the fiber will not come out from the net.

4) Cut straight-cut-pieces of red felt cloth.
5)Roll them, and glue the very end using UHU glue.

6) Make a lot of these ya!!!

7)Using a glue gun, paste all the roses on the hairnet.

8)You can have more than one colour of roses.

9) Glue a few felt leaves to cover the rest of the empty space

10) Decorate the bouquet with white laces.

11) Beautify the laces by adding some ribbons...just tie them on.

10) Done!!!! You can give it to anyone you want!

Happy Crafting!!!!
