It's my birthday, again....

23 December 2011...would it be eventually special?

These are the 5 things I presented to myself...in my dream, of course.

Chocolates
Cupcakes

Plush
More Smurfs

Roses

Whoever wants to give me these? Anybody???!! hehehe....
Since this is an auto-post, I shall wait for a miracle on my birthday..hehe

Effy's Engagement: Simple but memorable

Pinkish purple was the main theme....
I was told that Effy (my lovely sweet friend) made all the engagement gifts and the setting herself.

I simply love her handy-flowers. Oh, dear! Beautiful! The roses bouquet was surprisingly presented by her man on that wonderful day.

She's a heavenly pretty girl....the shot is nice too!

This shot is a piece of art!!

Her house itself is beautiful...they didn't have to go far to take photographs.

I wish you all happiness that will never fade....
I hope this can inspire you a bit in preparing your brightest day!

Real Cinderella

I'm surprised to see this picture (William and Kate's wedding)

Was it just coincidence or they simply planned for this???

Wedding of Blue and White

I was invited to a wedding last Sunday (20/11/2011) at Banting. The bride is a daughter to a very kind yet cool man I've ever know, Encik Rahim, a Registerar of Academy of Language Studies UiTM.

It was a pleasant view of blue and white. The food was nice too!

This post is dedicated to Kak Syazana, Kak Honey and those who are getting married. I wish this information could admire you in certain ways for your upcoming wedding.... Love you both!

This is how they set the guest book.

The pelamin - Right side

The pelamin - Left side

Next to pelamin is the newly-weds dining table.
The decorations were impressive! They were not using flowers but fruits.

This is the scenery of the dining tents.

The food was tasty too. They were served in buffet.
They served nasi minyak set [ayam masak merah (fried chicken in spicy sauce), acar timun (cucumber salad), curry, papadom (soybean snacks)], nasi putih (plain rice), mushroom in black pepper sauce, kuih-muih (cakes, cupcakes, pudding) and three types of drinks (cendol, green banana and asam boi).

This is one of the two goody bags I got.
The below bag contains a small plaque as shown in the next picture (the newly weds' names are stated on it, as well as the wedding date). There are also sweets and one Apollo cake inside.
The second goody bag contains a bottle of local carbonated drink and keropok sira (sweet fish snacks). Simple stuff but I found them very cool!!!

That's all for now!!!

My 20th Birthday...

23rd December 2009 Wednesday

I’ve never missed my birthday party. It’s not necessarily grand and great…sometimes it flows as plain as having a no-topping-cake or no-candle-cake. To be appreciated by people I love; is perfectly enough. I come from a family culture which appreciates a birth date as an important day in someone’s life, although it is not so much vital to some family cultures. In relation to that matter, we consider a birthday celebration as an event, a festival or an occasion; so it must be respected by the whole family members. It is a gathering day, of course. Sometimes, it becomes more memorable than any other family occasions. Today is my birthday. I am now 20 years old. Usually, we bought a readymade cake, so that we didn’t have to trouble ourselves much in preparing the party. However, my mother wanted to make a change in this tradition. She bought 20 cupcakes and a simple fruit cake. I had to decorate the cupcakes myself. They looked terrible but the taste was as such delicious as my sweat and tears…daaa! Well, never mind! The relatives had so much fun enjoying the cakes and a simple dinner. First, thank you to my mother who has troubled herself so much; going to shop while I was still sleeping on my bed. Thanks for the presents! NIKE bag, (Yan-cousin) Body Glove bag pack and shirts (my mother), Sarawak cake (my father), Dolly blouse, Garfield pillow, a teddy bear (from Kak Dina-cousin), pocket money (Mama-grandmother) and bla bla… Kak Ain (housemate) gave me a Teddy-Pink Hippo…So cute! The most special gift was from my only uncle....a bottle of soy sauce, a sauce container and RM10. I just can't live without soy sauce. Thanks to all my friends who made wishes via SMS!...Fatin, Cak, Kak Farha, Kak Ain, Nasuha from Alexandria, Alia, Azmir, Mun’im from Egypt, Kak Tira & Coozy (who share the same birth date with me), and my father (Luckily, he remembered my special day and brought back a Sarawak cake which I love much)…hahaha. Let’s pray for our peacefulness!
