The Giant's Causeway Northern Ireland

3 March 2016
I was so astonished to witness the majestic view of the famous Giant's Causeway
which is located in Northern Ireland.
I couldn't believe my eyes, looking at those unique shape rocks.
I went there with my best friend on a day tour with Wild Rover Tours Company,
from Dublin, Ireland.
This company is highly recommended.

3 days 2 nights in Ireland: 2-4 March 2016

I was in Ireland with my best friend.
I flew from Birmingham Airport, and she flew from Manchester Airport.
We landed at Dublin Airport Terminal 2 on 2/3/2016 around 1-2 p.m local time.
After successfully found each other at the arriving hall,
we immediately took a shuttle bus (No.747) to the City Center
which only cost us EUR10.00 per person (return ticket).
At that time, the bus was right in front of the terminal building...as soon as we walked out from the arriving hall.
The journey to the City only took 15 minutes, I guess.
We stopped at the final bus stop (O'Connell street).
For your information, it is very easy to find HALAL food in Dublin City.
There is a restaurant called Noodle Bar (Asian Cuisine) only
a few steps away from this bus stop.
The selection of meals is great there. We got ourselves delicious fried rice
for only EUR6.00 each.
Then, we walked to Abbey Court Hostel just right in front of
Ha'Penny Bridge, River Liffey.
It was only 5-10 minutes to reach the hostel.
This hostel is also highly recommended.
**I will make a post, next time, describing our pleasant stay and
the facilities they offer.

On the next day (3 March 2016), we got out early. It was about 7.00 a.m., I think.
We walked to Gresham Hotel from our hostel.
It was where we were going to meet our tour guide from the Wild Rover Tours company.
We arrived in front of Gresham Hotel exactly at 7.10 a.m.
So I should say it wasn't a very long walk.
You could go out a few more minutes later
if you could walk faster.
The coach will depart at 7.20 a.m.
We simply presented our printed booking itinerary as a proof.
to the friendly tour guide, Yoan.
.....And so the journey to Northern Ireland began.....

For your information, this day tour is called
This company is highly recommended and you won't regret.
The tour only cost me about GBP50.00.
(I forgot how much I paid in Euro. The tour is usually paid in Euro actually)
It worth every penny and could experience all the highlights
of the tour including:
Belfast City
Black Taxi Political Tour (around Belfast City)
Titanic Museum
Giant's Causeway
Carrick-A-Rede Bridge

For those who did not know, Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland and
Belfast is in Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom.
So technically, you are using Euro in Dublin and
British Pound in Belfast.
The funny thing during our trip was, we left our British Pound cash
in the hostel room with a silly thought that we were not going to use it.
We really forgot that we have to use British Pound in Northern Ireland.
Luckily, we could use debit cards almost everywhere we stop.
Even at places where we could not use the cards, they accepted
EURO and even gave change in EURO.
This includes the Giant's Causeway shuttle bus fair from the main entrance
to the coast. It cost us only EUR1.20 one way.

The tour guide left us at the main entrance and we could decide whether to use
the shuttle bus service to get there or simply walk while enjoying
the majestic view.

My friend and I decided to walk there first and used the shuttle bus service
to return back to the main entrance soon.

Giant's Causeway is among the highlights of the tour.

The Wishing Chair

Near The Giant's Gate

Challenging path to the Grand Causeway.
I didn't make it to the Grand Causeway because the paths were all too dangerous.
I couldn't find any easier path, so I stopped half-way.
But at least I tried.

After 3 hours exploring the Giant's Causeway,
we took the shuttle bus to return to the main entrance, as mentioned earlier.
We got onto our tour coach and continued our journey to
the next stop, Carrick-a-Rede Bridge
which I will tell you about it in my next post.

Bye now!!!!

**You might also want to see the other places I visited
during this day tour, including:
-Carrick-a-Rede Bridge
-Black Taxi Political Tour around Belfast City
-Titanic Museum
